I cannot view some of the page on your web site.
A lot of the information we have on our web page is given to us by various organizations. To make sure you see their flyers, forms, and files the way they want them to be viewed, we use pdf files. These files are a standarized format that displays the exact same way on any computer. You will, however, need a pdf viewer. Adobe Acrobat Reader will allow you to view those files. You can download the required software from Adobe or you can get version 9 from our web site under Technology Downloads.
If you already have an earlier version of Adobe Acrobat you may want to update to version 9 or higher. Some earlier versions of the software will not load some of our files.

I cannot view the slideshow or news ticker on the main page.
The slide show and the newsticker on the main home page of the Wolf Branch website are Flash movies. To view Flash movies, you may need to download Flash viewing software. You can download the newest version free under Technology Downloads or at http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

When I click on a link nothing happens.
Many of our files open in a separate window on your computer. Many pop-up blocking software will see this as a pop up and will block the link. We do not use pop ups on our site. To get any information to display you will have to click a link. Holding the left Shift or Ctrl key down when clicking a link will usually allow the seperate window to load. Another option is that you add http://www.wolfbranchschooldistrict.org to your trusted sites. This will allow all of our windows to load without interruption.

The website/newsletter does not fit on my screen and I have to scroll back and forth.
The design of the website and newsletter work best viewed in a higher screen resolution so you do not have to scroll back and forth. You can change your screen resolution by going to your Start menu, clicking on Control Panel, and then double clicking on Display. Change your screen resolution to a higher setting and then click apply. Check the website again and see if that fixes it. It works best at a screen resolution higher than 800x600 and depending on the size of your monitor screen, it may need to be set even higher than that.

How do I subscribe or unsubscribe to the school newsletter?
You can manage your newsletter subscribtions through the Newsletter web page. Simply select which newsletter you wish to recieve, enter your email address, choose wether you wish to subscribe or unsubscribe, and click OK.
This is an automated system and does not require a contact person to manage your subscriptions. The system sends a confirmation email before adding or removing you from the list. If you do not click on the link in the confirmation email, you will not be added or deleted from the list.

I receive the school newsletter but I cannot read it.
The newsletter system sends its messages using HTML email. If you only recieve plain text email you will see all of the code that makes up the HTML part of the email. All internet providers give you the ability to receive HTML email. Some email readers and some users choose to turn this feature off. You can always view the school Newsletters through the school web page via the Archives (see above), or you can enable HTML email on your email reader.
