Parent Teacher Committee (PTC)

Email PTC: wolfbranchptc@gmail.com

The Parent Teacher Committee (PTC) welcomes interested parents of students of all ages, races, abilities and backgrounds enrolled at Wolf Branch School . While the name "Parent Teacher Committee" implies a small group, involvement has grown along with school size.  Our school's PTC is a non-profit organization which pays no state or national association dues. All PTC fundraising revenues are used to directly benefit the students of Wolf Branch School . So, membership really does make a difference to your child. Starting in the 2004-2005 school year, PTC no longer charges membership dues which provided that Wolf Branch families voting rights. All parents & teachers that attend meetings will have voting privileges. In the past few years, PTC has raised more than $15,000 annually to buy playground equipment, classroom computer enhancements, transportation for field trips, and teaching supplies, as well as honoring special requests from teachers and staff. PTC thanks all WBS families and the entire WBS staff for your ongoing support. Because of you, we do great things for our school and for our children!

PTC Membership Matters

In addition to fundraising, PTC provides the "parent power" to organize traditional school events such as the "Welcome" Reception the first day of school, Fall Festival, Pumpkin Day, Breakfast with Santa, Flower Day, and Staff Appreciation Week.  PTC also organizes volunteers to help serve cafeteria lunches and ice cream, as well as "room parents" to assist teachers with special projects and classroom parties. PTC will continue collecting $15 per Elementary School child and $6 per Middle School child at the beginning of each school year to fund the three classroom parties during the school year. These contributions  will be used for food, games and/or entertainment to equalize the parties among the classrooms.

PTC Goals

1. Promote child welfare in the school and the community.
2. Bring the relationship between home and school closer.
3. Develop united efforts between educators and the general public.
4. Fulfill the above objectives through conferences, committees, projects and fundraising activities.
5. Provide a labor pool of volunteers to assist the school.
