FALL AND SPRING FLAG TEAM
(Separate try-outs to accomodate fall and spring sports. If students make the Fall try-outs, they will not need to try-out in the Spring)
Color Guard try-outs are open to any female or male students at Wolf Branch. Our goal is to prepare students for the Belleville East High School Marching Band (color guard).
Our try-outs will consist of basic flag movements that will be incorporated into our parade song. The Color Guard performs to music provided by the Wolf Branch Marching Band.
Students that are considered for the Wolf Branch Color Guard will need to purchase a sweatshirt/hoodie for the parade performance. The sweatshirt/hoodies costs between $25-$30.
The Color Guard will have seperate try-outs for each of the three seasons listed below. Band students may try-out, but you need to get permission from Mrs. Tessereau first.
THE FALL SEASON (will need to purchase a hoodie) will commit students to the morning of Friday, November 23rd to perform at the Belleville Santa Parade.
THE SPRING SEASON (will need to purchase a t-shirt) is a very busy parade season. The flag team will perform at the Swansea Fireman's parade and possible the Memorial Day parade.
WINTER GUARD
Sharon Schafale, the color guard instructor for the Marching Lancers, develops a routine to pop music. This routine includes dance and flag work. The Winter Guard meets on Saturday mornings (possibly starting in December). The Winter Guard performs at selected girls home basketball games.
Winter Guard members will need to purchase a t-shirt, black dance pants and other accessories to fit our "show".Students can perform in black dance shoes or black socks.
